Our Story
Luke began his journey as a tree arborist as an employee at Hurstville Council, and over the course of the almost fifteen years since, has become one of Sydney’s most trusted arborists. He prides himself on his approachability and customer service, and has a passion for his industry that stems from a deep care for his local community and environment. Luke relishes the challenge of finding the best, most cost effective and efficient way to transform your home, strata property or business. What is the difference between an arborist and a tree lopper?
To the uninitiated, the terms arborist and tree lopper may appear synonymous and are often used almost interchangeably. However, those with experience in the tree maintenance industry know that this is far from the truth. Traditionally, ‘tree lopping’ has referred to the uncultured and unsustainable removal of large parts of a tree. Only recently has this term entered the common parlance, largely due to its ease of expression and frequency of use in internet search engines.
As a result of this, the term ‘arborist’ has somewhat fallen to the wayside. And that’s a shame, as the term conveys a level of experience, accreditation and prestige that ‘tree lopper’ doesn’t. An arborist has completed extensive arboricultural study, acquired all necessary arboreal qualifications and, ultimately, is able to perform responsible, nuanced and informed tree surgery.
